Materials
What our tees are made from, how they wear, and how to keep them looking good.
Good fabric should feel right on day one and still hold up after repeat wears. Here’s what to expect from our core tee materials.
Fabric composition
Most Trendline tees are built from cotton-forward fabrics used across AS Colour style families:
- 100% cotton (combed or carded): breathable, soft, and easy to wear year-round.
- Cotton + recycled polyester blends: added durability, faster drying, and better shape retention.
- Style-specific specs: exact fibre percentages can vary by product, so always confirm on the individual product page.
Feel and weight
Fabric weight (GSM) changes how a tee feels and sits:
- Lighter weights: cooler feel, softer drape, easy layering.
- Mid weights: balanced everyday option with reliable structure.
- Heavier weights: denser hand-feel, more substantial shape, less cling.
If you’re deciding between two styles, check GSM first—it’s the quickest indicator of whether a tee will feel light, balanced, or heavyweight.
Care and longevity
To keep print quality, colour, and shape looking better for longer:
- Wash cold with similar colours.
- Turn printed tees inside out before washing.
- Use mild detergent and avoid bleach.
- Line dry where possible; if tumble drying, use low heat.
- Avoid ironing directly on prints.
Consistent low-heat care helps reduce shrinkage and fabric stress over time.
